Kinetic Energy appointed Assistant Professor Tanit Matiyanon, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahanakorn University of Technology to study and perform R&D to determine an appropriate level of moisture in biomass fuels and the appropriate period of stocking the fuels since March 2006. We realize that the fuels are one of the key success factors to generate the electricity and steam.

Kinetic Energy plans to study and R&D about garbage, in particular Refused Disposal Fuel (RDF). We are cooperating with a number of organizations for developing garbage fired power plants in the near future.

Wind is a clean renewable energy source that does not emit pollution from the power plant operations. Kinetic Energy is keen to do this because it reduces the burden of fuels acquisition and the need for fossil fuels import. We plans to study the appropriate location and wind turbine technology from various sources to develop some projects in Thailand. Moreover, we will cooperate with a number of state entities to do R&D and technical assistant in developing wind power projects.

Boiler Efficiency is also the key to success for power project, so the Company is studying and performing the R&D to increase the efficiency with various educational and corporate entities. We are very selective in choosing the right technology to certain projects in order to maximize efficiency and we aim to pick up the equipment providers that give us turnkey services in order to prevent the cost overrun. Again, we look for stepping ahead of other energy players in Thailand and regional countries in boiler efficiency focus.
